If you've been waiting for a pocket zoom that doesn't force you to choose between reach and sensor size, this is Panasonic's answer — a 1-inch sensor with a 24-360mm Leica-certified lens is a genuinely useful combination for travel shooters who want one camera in their jacket, not a bag full of glass. That said, this space is owned by Sony's RX100 line, and Panasonic hasn't given a compelling reason yet to switch loyalties.
